Hi, I have a new 2009 vulcan 900 SE, I was thinking of customising it just a little, such as the anodised bolt kit, and also braided brake lines. Being new to customising does anyone have any ideas, and to be more specific which are the best brands. I appreciate any help on the subject

Firstly, welcome to the site rookie.

Now as for customising there is really no such thing as bad customising, even Spock with his "kamakazi" decals an his tank
enjoys they way his bike looks. Lots of places to buy from which i'm sure the inmates here will be happy to help you with, so if
you give us specific items that you want we will try to tell you what and where to get it from.

Welcome to the site Rookie. Tell us a bit about yourself and your bike if you can. More than happy to recommend a few places to buy from that have been quite reliable.

I'll Kamikaze your arse next time I see ya AJ ya cheeky bugger!

G'day rookie and welcome to the site. Clearly a great choice of bike
A word of warning, once you start down the custom track you never seem to stop Very Happy well this is what I have found anyway.
As the guys said there are lots of places and choices. Braided lines are on my list also, you might want to have a look at the ones from scootworks.com
As for brands well it depends greatly on what your looking to buy and how much you want to spend. (it can get expensive)
So far I have done the pipes, grips, various chrome covers for things, the seat and I have waiting in the lounge room the barons air kit and power commander. Next will probably be the pulleys and the lines, oh and the mirrors.

My best suggestion is don't buy anything from Australian companies such as Zpower you will pay a fortune when you could have just ordered it from the states.
Try westendmotorsports.com meancycles.com as a start but there are many others.

Look forward to seeing you out on a ride soon!

Pre buying the bling fitted to the bike is no fun at all Very Happy Now you all know why I ride so slow: it's the extra weight making the bike struggle Laughing
