There is an open day tomorrow where they are letting you ride what ever you want. I have booked myself in for 10am on the VRSCDX (night rod) as I think this will be my next bike. Anyone else want to come along and have a bit of a spin I will be there from 9:30am or there abouts

Sounds great. Trouble is you will want to leave there on the new bike. Let us know how you go with a trade in on the 900

Stew you do realise that if you buy a Hardley we will still ride with you but you will be required to ride at the rear of the pack . . . . . . . . . . . . The rest of us dont want to get covered in oil

As long as you put the stickers over the oil seals and other areas Hardley's leak that may save a few litres of oil a week. Oh and get one of those clam shell kids pools to park on top of that way you only have to' empty it once a week
Ok so thats not nice, the lord does say to forgive those less fortunant than ourselves so if you do buy a Hardley mate i will forgive you, but you aint riding bugger with me on the 4 outta 5 weeks its getting fixed

It would hurt my feelings and end up buying one too.

Did you go Stew? I would have got there, at a guess, just after 10:30, but didn't see you. Didn't test ride. Nice outlet, but not as good as Trivets.
Have you bought a new bike???????????

Sorry Ed phone died and I just got your message. Yep I sure went for a ride. Wow what a bike talk about power, it was ridiculous amount of power. They were very good and the leader kept up a fast pace. Love the bike it is a little strange at first to ride because of riding position, though i was getting used to it toward the end. The 240 rear tyre also took some getting used to as its quiet heavy to steer at low speed. All in all though and awesome looking and powerful bike. 120kph in first gear and only revving at about 5k. Never made it out of 3rd, the twin Brembo discs on the front meant stopping was also a lot more responsive. My only criticism was the sound, it sounds like a moped, but i guess that is easily fixed. Oh and it seems to get very hot (maybe running out of oil)
To some up it was a very fast but very stable ride. Only used 1 litre of oil over the 5km stretch so i guess that's not too bad. I could always throw in with Rudy for a 44 gallon drum, should last at least 6 months given the bikes spend a lot of time of the road
Havn't brought it yet but have the green light from the radio which is the hardest part

So what else would you consider buying Stew or is a Hardley your only choice?

I didn't see the bike Stew, was busy with hot dogs and coffee. Was it something like this video?

Pretty much like that Ed only didnt sound as good. Apparently these have had some help from Porsche in design and probably performance judging from the power

AJ I looked at the M109R and the fury. The fury is a little skinny for my liking and it seems to touch down very early. It is also a little over priced for what you get (not that the Harley isnt) but it is a little more advanced in some areas. The M109 is a little heavy and big for an everyday ride (which is what I also use the bike for) I like the bike but very hard to ride round town.
