I track my fuel expenses. I was wondering if these results compared to similar VN's out there (2009 VN900 Custom).

Over the last year I have travelled:

25,674 kms

Averaged 20.95 kms per litre

Averaged 4.77 litres per 100

Spent $1,680.02 on fuel

Which translates to $0.065 per km

Average fuel cost per litre $1.37

Most expensive fuel was $1.90 At Kulgara NT.

Best economy on a trip - 3.70 litres per 100 on the last leg from Uluru from Bathurst, but it is downhill lol.

Worst - 6.65 litres per 100, riding to work over a period og 2 weeks (160 kms)

Why do I do this. It helps at a glance to see if there are any unexplained fuel useage surges.

haha a lot of work but all very interesting Ed.
.65 per km is actually more expensive then I thought it would be.
Can only imagine what the cost of a cage must be.

That's 0.065 cents Stew or $6.50 per 100. Not hard to maintain if you keep receipts etc.

BTW, NSWR has a ride to Kangaroo Valley on the 21st March. I asked Trevor to consider changing lunch to Sutton Forest Inn. We have 20 inners atm and will probably get more. Do you think Allison is still up to a BBQ?

Fawk, I didn't include rego, insurance, servicing, polish etc. That'll put up my cost per km. Guess I shouldn't include lunches hey.

If Trev wants to change the lunch spot am happy to pass on number.
Think I will join as well. I think we have a new rider in Jason as well really enjoyed yesterday.
