Just the other day I gave some positive feedback to the ppl that run BOM. They replied along the following lines and provided information re new technologies in forecasting. It may interest some of you here and help with ride planning in the future.
As an aside Harry, could you consider putting a link on the homepage to the BOM. Very useful.

You may be interested to know that the Bureau is introducing a new forecast system which will enable us to provide more local information to the community as well as improve the 'look' of the web products. The pilot was launched in Victoria and the system will be implemented in NSW later this year. For a taste of the new services to come, look at:
