| Thanks Stew. The air show is at Williamstown Air Base beyond Newcastle. Check this link: http://www.airforce.gov.au/airshows/The ride will depart from the Pie in The Sky at Cowan. Meet time: From 8:00 Departure Time: 8:30 Approximately a 400km return trip. Please have a full tank when arriving at the meeting point. The last fuel stop before the meet point is the Mobil Berowra. The only variable with me is whether my bike will be out of the shop in time. I'm sure it will be. Got new tyres on and they said the front bearings need replacing along with the front brakes. I'll keep you posted on progress. Route: View Larger Map

| Update re bike repairs. Collecting it today. Cost $940 for new tyres (Pirelli MT 66 Route), front brakes and front bearings. Does that seem a reasonable price ??
I will meet those going on this ride at PITS. I have the orange VN 900 and my # is 0435 143 273. | |

Not a bad day at all. Thanks Stew for joining us. This is an annual event, but not at Williamtown. It rotates around Australia. Next year is Adelaide. Perfect weather. Funniest thing I saw were two queues. One of about 30 people waiting to tour a Hercules. The other was about 300 waiting for dagwood dogs.

| Its only a Panasonic DMC FZ7 compact. Yes I know the lens is dirty. Need to replace the filter thingy that goes on the front. I was surprised how good they turned out at only a 12 times zoom on a 18-55 lens. Hit and miss mostly but the one I liked was the perfectly framed one of the roulette's. Am considering the just released Nikon D7000. That will be great, but I'll have to treat it with more respect than I do the current. Just tend to chuck it in the panniers etc. | |

| Thye're are great shots Ed. Before buying an SLR though you should really consider lenses as well. What you buy the first time is what you will be stuck with after you start getting into lenses. Actually the camera body is the cheap part. Have fun | |
