| I just installed Vence & Hines pipes, but I found it a bit too load for my ears and I think it will disturb my neighbours.
I am thinking about installing buffles.

I am thinking about installing buffles. Hey Kruser Adam here we met on the Lithgow run. Using those baffles is a waste of time and money and according to my ears and others that have tried them they just make the noise more annoying Aj

| The overall Db rating is still within 1 or 2 Db the baffles just make it more "acceptable to the ears" save your money and get some earplugs. Just my 2cents

| Unfortunately,,,,,, I have to go back to the original pipes as I found these pipes are too load for my ears.
I installed them on Wednesday and today I took them off and put the originals back on today. So, I only used them for 4 days. I am a musician and music teacher and I really need my ears.
I love the sound of these pipes, but I found that they are not for me.
I will see if I can somehow make them a bit quieter, otherwise I will sell them.

| harry there is a way of modifying your stock pipes to make them a little louder. There is a bit around on the net if you google it. Otherwise I hear that the formula 1 pipes for the 900 are not quiet so loud and give off a different pitch. Maybe you could try these. Kawasaki in Chatswood use them on there Vulcans when they change out pipes. Maybe you could swap your V&H for a set of these. Just a thought. | |

| Hi all Just installed my new vance and hines exhaust today with a K&N filter. Talk about loud, might use ear plugs next time. By the time I did a loop of Lake Macquarie my ears had got use to it. I got plenty of looks from other road users and pedestrians and thats what it's all about, they can hear me coming. Performance was improved as well.

| The usual rule is if air or exhaust is done its usually fine
If you have fitted both you should get a PCIII and a tune to optomise performance and economy

| Hi stew066 I would be interested in the power commander if it will certainly fix the problem and not void the warranty. I will have a chat to the local kwaka shop mechanic. Is it a DIY installation. Cheers
