Ride Safe Empty
PostSubject: Ride Safe   Ride Safe EmptyMon Jun 08, 2009 1:33 am

Hi all, I went for my first reasonable ride with a mate ( who only recently got his license, his bike Yamaha 650 Classic Cruiser ) up the Putty Road to Singleton and back.
It's well over 18 years ( at least by bike ) since I have been up the Putty Road to Singleton.
One thing that was concerning was the number of roadside memorials to those motorcyclist that have passed away on the Putty Road ( this is not good ).
There are ( now ) numerous signs but there by the RTA / POLICE for motorcyclist to aware of the many bends and of course the threat of BIG fines and lose of license, etc.

Message here, Ride safe and enjoy Smile

Yep well said Dale. I went through the National Park to Stanwell tops on the weekend, the old favourite, for a quick ride. After all this wet weather there is a lot of green moss on the raod especially in the darker corners. It is pretty slippery so be careful through there. Not a real problem but best to be mindful of it and ride accordingly

cheers

Dave

You know what gets me Dale is even with all the memorials to riders still people fly up the Putty a incredible speed.
I think it comes down to it wont happen to me, but I bet they all thought that.....
