Survive the Ride Charity Event in Aid of Westmead Hospital

A ride in aid of the children at Westmead Hospital by the Ride to Survive Association of NSW.

Survive The Ride - 2010 Westmead Hospital Easter Egg Ride

WHEN: Sunday, March 7th - 9:00 am start.

Departing from either of these three locations

NORTH: Pie in the Sky at Cowan (PITS)

SOUTH: TBA-Sutherland

WEST: Glenbrook cnr of Great Western Highway and Hare St - opposite the service station.

Travelling to: The Children's Hospital at Westmead – Hawkesbury Rd Entry

As a group we could first meet at Berowra Mobil and then travel to PITS.

Registration Details:

Easter Egg Ride registration = $10 entry per bike.

All money will be donated to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and give you an entry into the prize draw for you and your pillion.

Prizes Prize for the largest donation – and prizes for the riders and pillions – free entry

Registration and donations:

Arrive at one of three starting points before 9;00am - complete your ride registration, prize draw entry and make your donation.

Club’s and individuals may raise money prior to the event and make donations on the day. The person making the donation will be allocated the total amount unless they provide the list for all individual donations.

Donations can also be made at the Children’s Hospital between 10.00am - 11.30am.

Feel free to just donate even if you can’t join in the ride.

The Survive the Ride Association (STRA) – Easter Egg Ride is a motorcycle safety and fund raising ride, organised by the STRA and supported by the motorcycle and apparel industry.

Motorcycle safety component of the event

All participating motorcycle riders will be able to get safety information at the STRA registration desk. The STRA will provide a safety briefing at the start of the ride.

STRA encourages all riders and pillions to wear protective gear and ride safely to, from and during and after this ride.

Fund raising component:

The ride is organised to raise money for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

This year we aim to raise at least $2,000 to go towards the purchase of craft and therapy equipment for the kids who are in hospital. They did not choose to be there – your donation will help them have some fun while in hospital.

Program for the day:

The only requirement is that riders arrive at the start point of their choice between 8:00 am and 9:00 am to make their donation and register for the ride. There will be an STRA registration desk and coffee stall so you can have a break and chat.

You can make this a stop on your ride for the day or you may wish to participate in the ride to the hospital (Map will be provided at the registration desk).

When the ride leaves at 9:00 am, follow the lead riders who will ride the route displayed on the map.
