looks like im off the road guys the bikes in the shop being assessed and its not looking good poss rebuild .i am not a happy camper at the moment as i dont have the funds for this and dont know where im going to get them . will keep you all updated

yer you got 2 grand mate . its just the oil pump thats gone still going to cost though. and theres no pump in australia

thanks guys there is a glimmer of hope my bosses are considering advancing me the money so with a bit of luck i might be able to get back on the road sooner

i get their decision in the morning so fingers crossed

heard from the shop this morning and they have found a part in the states that will fix the pump at half the cost cheers

so with a bit of luck they can get this new part in and ill be back on the road in 2-3 weeks

Hey Roddy, is it the POG (plastic oil gear) that has failed. I am guessing it is. there is quite a history regarding this item. have a look on the Kawaski Australia forum. Apparently there is less expensive fix which you dont have to split the motor to do. Maybe its the one your mechanic has suggested however go this webiste and check it out http://www.vroc.org/faq/jopg/jopg.html

yer thanks dave thats exactly what it is and yes thats the same site the shop found and has contacted them today to get it sent over asap and the good news is it lowers the bill by half.
