With a desire for increased visibility and increased night riding along with the trip to Euston with its share of likely night riding, I have ordered a set of riding lights. Ordered them through Cruiser Customizing .
At just USD$288 landed for the Cobra Light bar, that's far cheaper than the AUD$621.00 for the OEM part from Kawasaki.
Why buy them? Watch this episode, which is mostly common sense.
Promotional product picture of the Cobra Light bar that I have ordered:
I'll post up pics when I have it installed.

Thanks Ed, I was looking at extra lighting but now I am definantly selling the 900 thats no longer needed. On the new ride I am fitting a set of 4" HIDs plus a HID conversion for the main headlamp.

Yups, lighting is a winner. Definitely on my wish list. Like everything I will get around to it eventually.

Hi all
Well, the lights are on and I think it looks good. Haven't ridden at night though. Had it connected to the high beam.
Those that know me know I like smart innovation. From GPS Oz at Monavale I bought a cradle to house my mobile phone, aiding coverage to the paired GPS unit. It's a waterproof housing that also enables you to either put a padlock or cable tie to secure it.
There is also a picture of a plastic throttle attachment that I bought from MCAS for about $8. It really works. It allows you to lessen your grip on your throttle on long trips for example. Using your palm on the device, you can maintain throttle. Don't dismiss its effectiveness till you try it.

Thanks Stew, originally I was thinking connect them to the low beam for 'on' always', but I think it's more effective when you flash them at those idiots expecting to turn in front of you. Certainly has been getting their attention this week.

Its not the idiots where you have the time to flash your lights that bother me. Its those other idiots where you don't have time. I think I would still go with low beam but obviously its your call. I assume they throw up heaps of light?
Also the lights look bigger than I expected. Not sure why given you posted pics before hand. Think it might be a relationship with your windshield thing.
Finally in other news a mate you guys met on that ride the dam up north had an accident last Sunday. Hit by a ute. Its been a bad year. Please be safe guys. Especially those of you going on the farriders event which does sound awfully fun.

Good news is he is out of ICU now and in a general ward. Its all enough to make one skittish. Not enough to make me stop riding though. It remains to be seen whether he will ever ride again.
in other news H and I got a the Scala Q2 Pro Multiset and have been busy trying it out. I will try and drop a brief review some time in the near future.
