A brilliant day weather wise, except for some early fog which lifted about 9:45. Rudi joined me as far as the Wyong turnoff and I carried on alone from there. The ride today was actually a reccy ride for a NSWR ride next Sunday. If you want to join in for that ride, please do so. I will repost the details in another thread. I did come across about 7 km of road works along Yarramalong Road before Wyong, but I see no reason to alter the route, unless we have torrential rain all week.
I don't know why we haven't been to the Beachcomber Hotel before. A delightful place for lunch and a decent menu. Spectacular view. There are 3 levels of parking adjacent to the hotel that we can use. Returned via The Entrance, Wyong Road, then freeway and Peats Ridge Road, Pacific Highway then Road Warriors.
I caught up with Rod and a mate at Road Warriors for coffee about 3:30 and stayed a fair while. Was great catching up. Saw the usual array of fine bikes there including an orange 1800 cc vulcan that didn't look a lot bigger than mine. If I get a chance must grab one for a test ride sometime.
