Hi all,
Our friends at NSWR have an L&P plate ride tomorrow, details below.
It may suit some of you guys up North. I will be there as will Ed. There of course will be more exp riders on this however may be nice for a relax paced ride.
If your keen I will see you there PS. I will have a pillion (one of the L Plates girlsfriends) so may be good to get out 2 up for those who can without having to worry about flyin round the place.
A ride that will especially accommodate all learners & Provisional riders and those returning to riding, slow riders, fast riders that want to go slow etc etc.
This idea has been done to death in the planning area and has received much interest. If this ride pleases the above riders, we'll plan a similarly easy ride for the 30th May.
Date: Sunday 18th of April 2010
Meet Location: Berowra Mobil (for a map of this location, go to NSW Meeting Places top LHS of homepage and select Mobil Berowra)
Meet Time: 8:30am
Depart: 9:00am
Duration: 3/4 day
Destination: Wisemans Ferry initially where we will have lunch at the Wisemans Ferry Hotel. After lunch, we will cross the river by Ferry and ride to Lower Mangrove via Wisemans Ferry Road and keep going. The ride will finish with coffee at the Mt White Cafe on the Old Pacific Highway.
Route: Via Berowra Waters, Galston, Glenorie, Wisemans Ferry (lunch) Lower Mangrove and then on to Mt White.
Distance back to Mt White cafe: About 150kms
Remember that any road no matter where can be dangerous.
This will be a relaxing ride with a few bumps, tight flowing corners etc and just enough of a challenge for a newbie. We will stop often enough to recover/regroup. NO-ONE will be left behind.
Please make sure you have a full tank when you depart ie fill up at the start point.
Do not ride close to the rider in front. If someone in our group or someone else wants to pass, then a safe pass is their responsibility. Do not alter your style of riding just to suit them. By that I mean do not move so far over to the LHS that you risk catching the gravel etc. Take your time, learn from the experience and enjoy safe group riding.
If some experienced members could come along to assist, that would be great.
