In conjunction with Motorcycle Awareness Week the Motorcyle Council of NSW (MCC) and Parramatta City Council have organised for a display to be held in Parramatta Mall on the 23rd of October 2010.
The MCC is calling on riders to attend this event which will give you an opportunity to show your bike off and discuss motorcycling with the general public. A list of what to talk about and how to talk about it will be provided on the day.
The MCC would appreciate it if people can arrive before 10:00AM. Entry to the event is at the back of the Library and via a pedestrian walkway at the side of the mall.
There is a big area with lots of room being offered including a platform.
You are welcome to come and go as you please but please travel in and out of the area at a pedestrian speed. This will ensure there is no accidents and or people hurt whilst you are leaving or entering.
Whilst there will be Rangers and a patrolling security guard on the day, use common sense and if you need to leave your bike or go somewhere, use the buddy system to keep an eye out for each others bikes.
The event will run till 3:00PM and it would be great if everyone can stay this long.
It is up to all of us to attend and support this event, as only through education can the general public be aware of the issues that we face as motorcyclists. If each of us can make a friend with just one cager, it will be a good result.
I will be attending this event and I have planned to stay for the duration of the event.
This will also pose as a great opportunity to recruit more members and to make other bike riders aware of Vulcan Riders.
If you would like to attend please reply to this thread so we can have an indication as to how many members will be attending.
If you have any questions, post them up and I will try to answer them the best I can.
